Scope of Work
Al Othaim wanted a Ramadan in-aisle activation that did more than hang seasonal bunting: a themed heritage corner that could stop shoppers mid-aisle and connect the brand to Saudi nostalgia through real archival imagery and traditional props rather than generic seasonal decor, while still fitting into a live, fully-stocked supermarket aisle without disrupting the shelving and pallet displays on either side.
UPC designed, fabricated and installed a themed heritage corner built as a mud-brick-textured backdrop wall with a traditional Najdi crenellated roofline, mounted with a set of black-and-white archival photographs of old Saudi streets and buildings. In front of it, a majlis-style vignette was staged on a traditional patterned rug: vintage props including an old-style television looping the Al Othaim logo, a vintage radio, a replica brass Ramadan cannon, hanging brass lanterns, ceramic coffee pots, and a large glowing crescent-moon light sculpture, framed above by a hanging lantern fixture and Ramadan textile bunting strung along the aisle ceiling. The full setup was built as a self-contained floor unit that could be placed directly in the aisle without touching or reconfiguring the surrounding shelving.
A themed, photo-worthy heritage corner sitting directly in an active supermarket aisle, giving Al Othaim a Ramadan touchpoint built on real nostalgia and craft rather than standard seasonal signage, installed without disturbing the surrounding stock or aisle layout.
