Scope of Work
Panda needed a full multi-department fit-out: nuts and spices, bakery, fresh produce, and checkout, that read as one coherent store design rather than a set of disconnected areas, even though each department had very different functional requirements: bulk bins and packing equipment for spices, food-safe display and clearance around existing baking equipment for the bakery, mobility and drainage for produce, and durable cash-handling furniture at checkout.
UPC designed, fabricated and installed fit-out packages across four departments as one coordinated program. In Nuts & Spices, a continuous run of wood-and-black open shelving was built for jarred and bagged product, paired with a graphic wall of Arabic/English spice-name medallions above a run of bulk gravity-bin barrels, plus an integrated packing station with recessed grinder units, a heat sealer, and pull-out bins built directly into the shelving. In the Bakery, a marble-topped service counter and glass patisserie case were installed alongside the existing pizza oven, with mobile wood-and-steel tiered merchandising tables and a rolling bread cart for flexible daily reset of the display. In Fresh Produce, mobile black-paneled produce bins with wood-edge risers were installed under a large suspended wood-slat lighting canopy built to hang over the whole section. Checkout counters were built in a matching dark wood-look finish with stainless grab rails and integrated bagging/register space.
A cohesive, department-by-department fit-out spanning spices, bakery, produce and checkout, each area built for its specific operational needs while sharing a consistent material and finish language across the whole store.
